REPORTS:
Secretary Report: Approval of April 14, 2026 Minutes - A motion was made by Emily Davis to approve; Kathy Livingston seconded. The motion was passed by members.
Treasurer Report: Ron Lower, Treasurer, reported SVP balance for April 2026 is $1,581.34. Emilie Wright motion to accept; Kathy Livingston seconded; and all members accepted. Ron Lower asked for those that worked/volunteered at EQF and would like to get the reimbursed $10 EQF entrance fee, to give him their name and he would have cash to give them at June meeting. A motion was made by those working/volunteering at EQF to pass on receiving this payment. Joan Youman motioned to pass this action; Nickie Relyea seonded; and all accepted.
Historian Report: Kathy Livingston said SVP April minutes were posted but she had taken many pictures so will post them later or put a link to see these pictures.
Sunshine Committee: Marlene Laraway had no news. Always let her know if you do. It was heard that Sharon Vrooman was ill.
OLD BUSINESS:
Empire Quilt Fest (EQF): Betsy Macomber stated that the SVP vendor ribbons at the EQF show were very good! Ruth Veley said our ribbons were the best; all agreed. Thanked Kathy Livingston for organizing the making of ribbons along with all members that helped making them.
Schoharie Free Library: Diane Warner reminded members that set up at the Schoharie Library is June 4 at 10:30 AM. And take down is June 25 at 10:30 AM. Members are asked to submit any small or medium quilt item; please submit an item or two. Reminder quilts/items will be displayed till June 25.
May 16, 2026 Workshop: Held this Saturday; 10-2; at church hall. Kathy Livingston will demonstrate on how to do Folded Star Table Topper. Have your 10"-10 1/2" center quilted before class. Bring sewing machine, fabric glue or glue stick, and prairie points (5 rows, 16 prairie pts for each row). And Ron Lower will be demonstrating Disappearing 9-Patch Block. Also bring machine and multiple 5" squares; Ron said he would be bring extra 5" squares that he has.
Placemats: Reminder, if you do some, they will need to be turned in at October SVP meeting. Pattern/style is up to you; can check your computer for designs. Hopefully we will get 100 and 100 from the PDG guild if they so want to participate. The Garden Club has asked for 200, if possible.
NEW BUSINESS:
New Members: Discussion was held about ways to interest new members to SVP. One, newspaper announcement. Kathy Livingston has template for local paper should someone want to handle. Two, possible flyers or SVP cards (Ruey Schell has made cards with both SVP & PDG on them) to set out at shows, around the area and upcoming Schoharie Library Quilt/Flower show. Getting speakers to attract quilters per Deb Steup. Possibly setting up a "Outside Activities Committee" for handling this task. Diane Pindar working on bus trips to quilt show. Deb Steup was inquiring about an overnight bus trip to a Maine quilt show (interested let Deb know). Kathy Livingston suggested having a speaker thru Zoom to be held at church hall.

Catskill Mt. Hall of Fame (CMHOF) Quilt Show, Sept. 12-13, 2026; at Carriage House behind the Jay Could Memorial Reformed Church, Roxbury. Registration sheets: deadline Aug. 14, limit 2 quilts per entry, 6" sleeve, label on bottom left side looking at back of quilt, drop off Sept. 11 at Carriage House behind church in Roxbury, need SVP raffle basket for show, and Sharon Vrooman has rack to display quilts.
Autumn Inspiration Quilt Show at Proctors, Schenectady, Oct. 3-4, 2026, $10
CMHOF Picnic, July 13, 2026 (Held yearly the 2nd Monday of July). If you want to participate, you can make a Square & Star pattern 12-1/2" block, off-white background (can find pattern on Cache Website). Kathy Livingston & Emily Davis mentioned they will not be there this year (they usually put quilts up around the pavilion to display).

(Ron Lower said grace before start of our End of Year Luncheon as we will eat before our regular meeting. Ron mentioned Sharon Nesbitt was in the hospital)
REPORTS:
Secretary Report: Approval of May 12, 2026 Minutes - Motion was made by Emilie Wright to approve; Ruey Schell seconded. The motion was passed by members. Barb Harverly and Colleen DeMuth abstained.
Treasurer Report: Ron Lower, Treasurer, reported SVP balance for May 2026 is $1,461.34. Emily Davis motioned to accept; Joan Youman seconded; and all members accepted.
Historian Report: Kathy Livingston (absent) but had sent website update.

OLD BUSINESS:
Empire Quilt Fest (EQF): Sharon Vrooman stated SVP table at EQF show made $198; Betsy said to thank Sharon for maintaining the table with SVP members helping.
Catskill Mt Hall of Fame (CMHOF) - CMHOF picnic is Monday, July 13 at CD Lane, Maple Crest; program is a trunk show; and note: Patchwork Quilt Store will be open that day so members can stop in. Barb Haverly attend the CMHOF meeting in Liberty, NY. Said Pat Clark had bags of fabric for CMHOF picnic's raffle baskets; Barb got a bag for SVP's basket. Nickie Relyea will put raffle basket together; Emilie Wright donating basket. Bring a "Squares & Stars" block or two to day of picnic and get a ticket to win a collection of these blocks.
CMHOF Quilt Show; September 12-13, 2026 in Roxbury at Carriage House, part of Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church. Sharon Vrooman has raffle tickets for this year's CMHOF quilt; each guild are asked to sell 10 books of raffle tickets ($1 each or 6 for $5). Note too that this year's quilt will be shown in 10 other places, where raffle tickets will also be sold. Registration to enter show is by August 14; check CMHOF website. Note: SVP Members, please bring items you may have that can be put in this SVP raffle basket for the Sept. 12 CMHOF quilt show to our Sept. 8th meeting; thank you!
Schoharie Free Library: Diane Warner reminded members that take down at the Schoharie Library is Thursday, June 25 at 10:30 AM.
Placemats: Diane Pindar and Sharon Vrooman both spoke to the Garden Club about request for placemat. Are now due to Garden Club in May 2027. Diane Warner tabled this issue discussion till September meeting.
Workshop Saturday, May 16: Ten attended to do Folded Star Table Topper by Kathy Livingston and the 5" square eye-spy block by Ron Lower. At workshop, it was discussed to give each member the 5" plastic square used by Ron. Ron to check with Middleburgh Hardware about getting them. At workshop, it was discussed with Kathy Livingston accepted motion and Emilie Wright seconded that the 5" plastic square be given to each SVP member for their use.
NEW BUSINESS:
New Members?? Discussion again was held about ways to interest new members to SVP. My Shopper has Community Section for posting. Contact previous members, a thought. Sharon Vrooman suggested posting on SVP facebook page.
"Outside Activities Committee" - Kathy Gorczyca and Diane Pindar volunteered to be this committee to plan possible Fall & Spring time trips around the area for guild members.
