OLD BUSINESS:

Empire Quilt Fest (EQF) Update on EQF Vendor Ribbons: Our creative Kathy Livingston showed a few ideas for the vendor ribbons that she put together for members to view.  Agreed was a half styrofoam ball with inserted 2x2 pinked edged fabric into it; which was then placed on a poster board circle with yo-yo's (8, 3x3" fabric) surrounding the fabric ball; and 3 fabric hanging tails where vendor names & info will be placed; that is the plan.  It was also decided to have SVP members make these vendor ribbons after the SVP March 10 meeting so they would be completed before the EQF show.  Fabric colors for each ribbon would be up to member's interpretation of EQF theme this year, "Revolution in Color".  Kathy said 15-18 ribbons are needed.  She will give final count and directions on making them before March.

Discussed with the SVP group if SVP would have a sales table at EQF show; Sharon Vrooman said she has fabric & books, etc for a sales table; all would be $1 each; was a hit last show and easy to handle; but no raffle basket this year.

Each participating guild is to supply items for 4 baskets which will be given out to: 1st time entry to show; winner of the EQF theme section, people choice, & 1st prize winner.  Emilie Wright volunteered to pick up the 8 items (2 items for each of the 4 baskets) and SVP will reimburse Emilie for items.

Kathy Livingston also reminded members to put in their quilt entries and forms if volunteering for show; as deadline is February 17. No SVP group quilt entries were noted today.
