Treasurer’s report:
Checking: $496.79 Savings: 762.78 Total: $1259.57
Motion made by Joan Youmans to accept the treasurer’s report. Seconded by Betsy Macomber. Motion was passed by members.
Minutes of the October meeting were posted on the website and Sharon Vrooman emailed them to the members. A motion was made by Betsy Macomber to accept the minutes. Seconded by Joan Youmans. The motion was passed by the members.
Historian: Stephanie Liddle is working on the guild album.
Old Business:
The next round of the round robin is a house theme. The log cabin block is an example of a block that might be use.
New Business:
Pillowcases are due at the December meeting. They don’t need to be washed or bagged this year.
Our program for our holiday meeting is to tell your story of “How I started to quilt, then vs now”. Please bring an early piece to show and something more recent or that you’re currently working on.
We will be having an ornament exchange, may be purchased or made. If you made the ornament, please sign the back if possible and wrap the ornament.
We will also have a potluck lunch so bring a favorite food and a serving utensil if needed. Bring your place setting and a drink.
Kathy Livingston showed an applique snowman quilt that she is making with another church member who quilts. It will be raffled off at a church event the Saturday before Thanksgiving. She had raffle tickets to sell at the meeting.
Program:
Betsy Macomber showed us a computer program “Block Base”. It allows you to pick a size block you would like to make in a paper piece pattern or by template or with the cutting directions. She said it was helpful last year when we made the theme blocks.
Show and Tell:
Kathy Livingston: showed the round robin quilt using a center made by Helene Langan and she added her first border.
Marlene Laraway: showed her Halloween X stitch piece with a flying geese border and said it is completed. She also showed a bright colored and black quilt with a pieced back.
Ruth Veley: showed a Christmas tree skirt and the applique leaf border on her fall round robin.
Betsy Macomber: showed her round robin with a paper pieced center (pattern from the Hall of Fame page) with the applique border.
Joan Youmans: showed the heart applique on her round robin.
Dolores Canna: showed a 2” square quilt she is making for her expected granddaughter and a felt applique pumpkin.
Sharon Vrooman: showed a cow quilt she made with plaids and some quilt tops made by Ginny Hull (crazy quilt, hand pieced utility quilt of squares and a square in a square quilt). She plans the repair them and quilt them.
Martha Crockett: showed and applique snowman with an alternating pinwheel block wall hanging and a Thanksgiving table runner.
Stephanie Liddle: showed a snowman doorknob hanger and her large applique quilt that she recently finished and had machine quilted.
Business meeting concluded.
Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 14th from 1:00-3:00 for our holiday party. See above information in new business for details.

We celebrated the upcoming holidays with a potluck lunch before the business meeting. We enjoyed desserts afterward.
Treasurer’s report: Checking: $616.79 Savings: $762.78 Total: $1,379.57
Motion was made by Joan Youmans to accept the treasurer’s report. Seconded by Barb Haverly. The motion was passed by the members.
Minutes of the November meeting were posted on the website and Sharon Vrooman emailed them to the members. A motion was made by Emily Davis to accept the minutes. Seconded by Ron Lower. The motion was passed by the members.
Old Business:
Forty pillowcases were collected at the meeting for Catholic Charities in Schoharie County. Sharon Vrooman emailed to say she delivered a total of 45 pillowcases.
Quilt Barn Trail calendars were available at the meeting. Ginny Schaum said that 2022 is the 10th year anniversary of the Quilt Trail in Schoharie County.
New Business:
The Northern Star Quilters are holding a quilt show on April 30th and May 1st at SUNY Purchase.
Fenimore Quilt Club Show will be held from February 12th -26th in the Cooperstown Library per an SVP guild member.
Bonnie Hunter’s website, Quiltville has instructions available online for a new mystery quilt challenge. Several guild members are participating.
The next round on the president’s At Home Round Robin challenge is diamonds.
Our next meeting program will be sashings and borders. Please bring any quilts you have with interesting borders or a special technique border.

Sharon Nesbitt: a quilted jacket
Diane Warner: showed her round robin quilt with the house border-birdhouses
Betsy Macomber: first quilt- rocking horse baby quilt with satin stitch
Marlene Laraway: a wedding ring table runner that she made in an Adult Ed class taught by Arlene Vrooman in the 60’s, showed double oven mitts she made for Christmas gifts this year
Deb Steup: her first quilt was sewn on a treadle machine for her brother, she showed a star in a star quilt and her fall fairy quilt
Dolores Canna: has sewn since the age of 12, her first quilt was made with boxer shorts, showed Chain Links made in batiks, stockings for family members and a Christmas Tree wall hanging
Julia Angevine: her first and second quilts were Four Patch, she recently made Sharon Vrooman’s Convergence Quilt in a class, a felt penny wool, Christmas angel wall hanging
Kathy Livingston: showed the completed snowman wall hanging she and another quilter made for her church raffle, folded trees that open to become a napkin, folded bag with pockets, folded star, she said she started quilting in the early 80’s but has learned more about quilting at Arlene Vrooman’s home with other guild members
Ruth Veley: started quilting in Adult Ed classes with Arlene Vrooman, showed a Cathedral Window wall hanging
Joan Youmans: started quilting in the 50’s with a Sun Bonnet Sue block, showed a recent project, Carol Doak paper piecing wall hanging
Arlene Vrooman: showed a 1996 quilt made for her when she was in the hospital, applique quilt made by SVP members for her, showed a family tree wall hanging with her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren’s names
Ron Lower: his first quilt was a hand pieced and quilted Double Wedding Ring quilt for his son, Ron and Edna have made quilts for their grandkids, showed a quilt made with a tractor panel that he machine quilted farm animals on
Mike Warner: has been “Emily’s design consultant”
Emily Davis: her first project was a quilt design on a jacket, showed last year’s president’s challenge quilt and this year’s challenge house border is barns, large log cabin quilt with star center, a wall hanging she made with the leftover blocks
Sharon Vrooman: she initially did counted cross stitch pieces and then began quilting later, loves scraps especially small pieces, showed her current Round Robin project with borders
